Royce is an avid crappie fisherman and has been fishing for many years. He currently fishes the Indiana Slab Masters Tournament Trail where he placed in top 10 in the 2021 B & M Points Race and is set to finish in the top 10 again in 2022.
He placed 8th in the Indiana Slab Masters Tournament held in May at Rocky Point and 9th in the Indiana Slab Masters Tournament held in April at Lake Shafer/Lake Freeman. He also has some top 3 finishes while fishing with the Eagle Creek Slab Slayers and Cataract Slabmasters.
